In my classroom I created 5 tasks for my students. I used an interactive whiteboard track (found in my TPT store!) to track which task each group of 2 was on. I used cover pages titled (Earn your License, Start Your Engines, Lap One, Pit Stop, & Final Lap) to separate each task.  These were paper clipped and ready for me to hand to students who move to the next task!

After Students earned their license, they worked with their team member to design their race car and create a team name.

Once students had their car designed…I inserted their team name on the google slide!

We were working on Compare and Contrast this week so several tasks involved this skill, but I also included a spelling and vocabulary task as well!

In order to move to the next assignment, students showed me their work and I marked it with a check mark or circled things that were incorrect. Once completed correctly, we moved their car along the Smartboard track and they received their next set of work.

You could create problems for teams along the way by announcing that… “there has been a HUGE crash on the track! You must “fix” your car in order to race again!” Students have to complete a quick assignment or extra work to fix their car!
