Basketball Classroom Transformation
A basketball classroom transformation can be an easy way to engage your students in most ANY content! Incorporate a little competition in order to get things going! All you need are a few basketballs, a hoop, ref jersey, and whistle….SO EASY

Want to make this easy on yourself?! Check out the Basketball Transformation Kit in my Simply Engagement Store!! Put them in a nice Sterilite storage container and save these items to use year after year!
Below is an example of how my co-teacher and I incorporated this basketball theme into our reading content! We selected several different books and had them “face off” in tournaments for March Book Madness! We had so much fun!

Here’s a look at my very first March Madness Bracket!:

Take a look at this fun game that can be used with ANY task cards or worksheets!
•Place the two nets on each side of your board. This is also where you will keep up with each teams points. I would laminate in order to use an expo! •There’s a blank Basketball net page to use if you want your teams to create their own team name! •The point cards (printed front and back) are taped in between the nets (basketball side up). You can print as many copies of the points you would like…depending on how long you would like the game to last. •Separate your class into two teams. You can set up multiple games in order to make smaller teams! •Teams work to answer questions or task cards. The winning team gets to select a basketball from the board. •View the back of the point card to see how many points are awarded to the team. No points for fouls. • Free throws: The selected student gets to shoot the mini basketball in to the hoop. Add points to the team for however many shots are made. •The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
